How to Apply Once_Per_Bar

Hello everyone,

I am looking for a way to have a Study Order run only at the beginning of the candle. A TOS rep directed me to the once_per_bar declaration (tlc.thinkorswim.com/center/reference/thinkScript/Declarations/once-per-bar). However, when I attempt to create a Conditional Order, using the Thinkscript Editor, combining this declaration with a study ("open is greater than HiLoActivator"), the study highlights in red and I get the statement that the study is invalid. Doing the study by itself works... doing the declaration by itself works... together gets this error statement.

Does anyone know how I would write the code to make this happen? I would greatly appreciate your assistance.

What support "should" have told you, is that ToS turned off that function

Thank you so much for the quick Reply and information! Might you know if the Open option mentioned by Moblus is defective as well? I ask because I was trying the Open option, but I found that it was recalculating what the Open is throughout the candle. For example, for the study I mentioned {"open is greater than HiLoActivator"}, when I use this as my Buy indicator, if the candle opens below the HiLoActivator, it will not Buy (perfect). However, if the price goes above the HiLoActivator during the candle, it Buys - I thought this would be the Close option, but a TOS rep said the Open is recalculated as the price changes.

To avoid recalculating, the syntax to buy on the open of the next bar is open[-1] or you can use the close of the previous bar close[1]
