Is there a way that I can color code the distance between one moving average and another so that as a fast moving first crosses above it is one color and then as it gets farther away it changes to different color to indicate a stronger trend

Yes, this is possible but not in a very elegant way. You'd need to decide how many color levels you want to write code for and decide how to identify each of them. Then for the AssignPriceColor() function you'd need a big if/else statement that checks which color level the current distance falls into and assigns the appropriate color. You can use CreateColor() to make custom shades of whatever colors you prefer to emulate fading from one color to another or having a color get brighter and darker.
