Turnover Rate (tricking thinkscript to give us access to share count)

to calculate a turnover rate, the rate at which the share count is being absorbed by the volume in the trading day we need the share count and thinkscript does not have a way to give access to share count.

however there are several other methods I want to explore to derive the share count, and I need help with experienced people who know if this can be done.

how about using the following functions that are available to thinkscript?

BookValuePerShare()
DividendsayOut()
DividendsPerShareTTM()
EarningsPerShare TTM()
FreeCashFlowPerShare()
GetEstimatedEarnings()
GetActualEarnings()
GetNetLiq()
GetTotalCash()
GrossProfitMargin()
LongTermDebtToCapital()
NetProfitMargin()
Operating ProfitMargin()
QuickRatio()
ReturnOnAssets()
ReturnOnEquity()
SalesPerShare()
TaxRate()
TotalAssetTurnOver()

each of these gets me a fraction of the way to my goal of deriving the share count. maybe there are other functions in combination with each other can derive a share count.

we do get a sharecount as a column in the watchlist but no way to access it. so thinkorswim has the info, they just don't want to give us access to it. we know it is there, just need a way to combine functions to get it.

that is my idea. am I wrong? is there really no possible way?

I feel your pain. This is another one of those problems that has not been able to be overcome.
I use an outside service to get this type of info + alpha + beta + the host of other data that ToS doesn't have because the data stream they get doesn't have it.

but their data stream does have it

go to watchlist you can add a column called shares

they choose not to give us access to it.

are you sure we can't derive the share count using some combination of math with the functions I listed above?

if we put our creative heads together I was hoping go solve this.

That column data isn't part of the data stream, it is a push-in that was added after TDA bought the ToS platform. It isn't available. You can search the forum and the net. Members including myself have all gone through the hitting of our heads on this wall.
Even once Schwab launches the new platform (don't get excited still years off); that won't be available as the streams don't provide it.

FYI, you were given this same answer in the ToS lounge so it isn't news to you.

I am still learning what the lingo is here. didn't know anything about a push in. great to know.

but since we do have access to the functions that use shares, there might be a combination that can extract the value. I need to think about this one a little more.

thanks for the help in both the lounge and here. appreciated.
