Pre Market scanner

hello, Im trying to create a scanner that will color when a stock breaks pre market high/lows. Having alittle trouble figuring out the Assigmentbackgroundcolor. can someone help??

are you trying to make a custom column or a scan ?
a scan code has 1 plot, that is 1 or 0. they don't use AssignbackgroundColor()
a custom column code uses 1 plot or 1 addlabel to display data, and AssignbackgroundColor() to change the cell color.

in your AssignbackgroundColor( ) , price > extendedSessionStart is comparing a price level with a logic level.

I’m trying to build a custom column, so that I can put my watchlist on and the code can run and tell me which tickers have broke out from pre market levels. (Green if it breaks out above premarket and red if it breaks out down below premarket)
