Multiple Timeframes in a Strategy

New member

So my system buys pullbacks on a daily timeframe based on RSI reversal signals, but on the 30 minute timeframe I love a 10ema/50ema crossover for entries. For the strategy that I'm creating, I used the thinkscript from a scan to get me started. This allows me to find the pullbacks well, but I'm not sure how to enter my entrance signal in my strategy. I know how to do a 10/50 crossover as a condition, but I'm not sure how to set it on a smaller timeframe. In short, since my scan was on the daily timeframe, and my entrance is based on a crossever system on a shorter timeframe, I'm not sure how to code the timeframe difference in Thinkscript. Thoughts? Hopefully I put enough info, but of course I'm happy to delve in and share code as needed.

Hopefully this wasn't easy to find on the tos website because I DID look around a lot and didn't find anything...that site is lacking...which is why this site is so awesome/crucial.

Gladly, here's my code (the exit is also pending right now and I've just included a time stop to start with something simple). Quick side question, is it possible to have multiple exits in a Strategy? (ie time based OR trailing stop? when I tried it wouldn't work for me)
Thanks for your quick reply Ben! My code is below

input price = close;
input length = 50;

def condition1 =
RSI()."RSI" from 1 bars ago is less than RSI()."RSI" from 7 bars ago
and close from 1 bars ago is greater than close from 7 bars ago
and open from 7 bars ago is greater than close from 7 bars ago
and open from 1 bars ago is greater than close from 1 bars ago
and close from 6 bars ago is greater than close from 7 bars ago
and close from 2 bars ago is greater than close from 1 bars ago
and close from 8 bars ago is greater than close from 7 bars ago
and open is less than close from 1 bars ago
and close is greater than MovAvgExponential("length" = 50)."AvgExp";

AddOrder(OrderType.BUY_AUTO, condition1 is true, open, 100, Color.YELLOW, Color.YELLOW);

AddOrder(OrderType.SELL_TO_CLOSE, condition1 is true, close[-3], 100, Color.RED, Color.RED);

Hey again, thought I'd check in to see if anyone has any insight as to the use of multiple time frames within my simple scanner.
Again, the coding above is for a daily bar system, and I'm hoping to add in a 10EMA crossing a 50EMA as my entrance, BUT on a 30 minute chart. Any thoughts?
