Issues with ThinkorSwim Volume Profile calculation

Hi

As per my understanding of Volume Profile it tracks the amount of volume traded at each price rather than time. So if a POC for a day is plotted then irrespective of the timeframe chosen the POC value should remain consistent for the day. If this is working of volume profile and my understanding is correct then I find the volume profile plotting of POC in thinkorswim inconsistent. I can see the POC gets shifted as the timeframe is changed.

Has anyone seen this behavior before? or is my understanding wrong about the volume profile. Any guidance is highly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

POC is not the same across timeframes

POC is not the same across timeframes
Thanks, I have highlighted the issue to Thinkorswim cause if the POC changes based on timeframe then the whole concept of volume profile goes for toss. The whole concept of volume profile that it tracks the price at which highest volume was traded irrespective of the timeframe for the day. Is this the same behavior on other trading platforms like Tradingview?

@SleepyZ thanks for the awesome indicator with chart bubbles. I know there is a issue with ThinkorSwim the way they plot POC/VAL & VAH as it changes the values based on the timeframe set on the chart even though the time profile set on the volume profile is set to day. This makes it very unreliable when trading on intra-day timeframes as the volume profile levels are not consistent. I have raised issue with ThinkorSwim as well but no response.

Is it possible to get the actual POC/VAL & VAH values from the daily timeframe and have that plotted consistently on the intra-day timeframes charts , the ideal way volume profile should be working but not working like that in ThinkorSwim.

not sure of this is even remotely possible but wanted to check with you.

Thanks in advance
