how to get YYYYMMDD value for yesterday?

today's YYYYMMDD value is 20230201. Feb 1 2023.

if i do getYYYYMMDD()-1 , that gives me 20230200 ... Feb 0 2023.

not what i want. i want to be able to have a variable that always gives me yesterday in the YYYYMMDD format.

anybody got any ideas how to achieve that?

Hey @SleepyZ , thanks for this -- this perfectly coincides with an idea I've been working on.

Question, though: does this only work on the Daily timeframe? I just tried it on a 3minute chart and it only displayed today's date on all three labels. It was only when I switched to the daily timeframe that it worked properly.

this will find a date code, that is x days back from the current day, and store it in the variable dat.

it draws a label with the date code.
it draws a bubble on the first bar of day, with date code.

an input can be changed, to show gray bubbles during the desired day, to verify the day,
