Hi, is it possible to only display a study for certain aggregation periods? Say I want my code only to display when the agg period of the chart is either 3 or 5 minutes and hide if outside of that?

Solution
You can do something like this:
Code:
def indicator = your_indicator_here;
def tf = getAggregationPeriod();

plot plot_of_indicator = if tf == AggregationPeriod.HOUR then double.nan
    else if tf == AggregationPeriod.THIRTY_MIN then double.nan
    else if tf == AggregationPeriod.TWENTY_MIN then double.nan
    else if tf == AggregationPeriod.FIFTEEN_MIN then double.nan
    else if tf == AggregationPeriod.TEN_MIN then double.nan
    else if tf == AggregationPeriod.FIVE_MIN then indicator
    else if tf == AggregationPeriod.THREE_MIN then indicator
    else if tf == AggregationPeriod.TWO_MIN then double.nan
    else if tf == AggregationPeriod.MIN then double.nan
    else double.nan;

That's the cumbersome way to do it, but it gives you...

That's the cumbersome way to do it, but it gives you names for lots of the aggregation periods. You might rework it with a != condition, but I had this handy.

Had someone help me out. Here is an easier way with an alert that tells the user they are using the wrong agg period for your script.

Code:
def correctAggregationPeriods = GetAggregationPeriod() == AggregationPeriod.THREE_MIN or GetAggregationPeriod() == AggregationPeriod.FIVE_MIN;
Assert(correctAggregationPeriods, "Incorrect Aggregation Period: allowable aggregation periods are 3 min and 5 min");

Thanks for your help !
