define by symbol

Good afternoon,

Is there a way to define variable by symbol in watchlist column?
Im having issue to setting some active market times for Futures.
Something like:

If symbol= /GC {
def rthstart = 0800;
def rthend = 1300;
} else if symbol = /ES {
def rthstart = 0930;
def rthend = 1600;
}

EDIT:
Or is there maybe a way to completly disable extended hours on Daily studies?

EDIT2:

I tried this:

def rthstart = if getSymbol() == ("/GC") then 0800
else if getSymbol() == ("/6J") then 0800
else 0930;

def rthend = if getSymbol() == ("/GC") then 1300
else if getSymbol() == ("/6J") then 1430
else 1600;

No errors but i dont think it works.
Thank you!

This should provide the basic framework you need.

I trust you'll be able to figure out the rest.

Code:
def Start =
    if GetSymbol() == "/GC:XCEC" then 800
    else 930;
;
AddLabel(Yes,Start,Color.Lime);
AddLabel(Yes,Getsymbol(),Color.Lime);
Plot Time = SecondsFromTime(Start);
Plot Z = 0;

here is an example of the layout for an if then block.
i am not familiar with futures, so i am using different symbols.

use def with the variable name , before the if's.
then within the if's, do not use def.
within a formula, after an if, use double = .

Code:
def rthstart;
def rthend;
if getsymbol() == "F" then {
  rthstart = 0800;
  rthend = 1300;
} else if getsymbol() == "GE" then {
  rthstart = 0930;
  rthend = 1600;
} else {
  rthstart = 0;
  rthend = 0;
}
