Can a TS sell at close/end-of-day?

Hi. I am new here.

The system I trade has me hold a position overnight, and then sell at the close the next day - which I currently implement by having tos open and watching the 5 minute countdown to close and executing my saved (market) sell orders when the clock shows 2 seconds left.... Of course, I almost never hit the exact close amount, but it works for me.

If I were to attempt to make a TS for my system, could it in a backtest sell at/near the close of the day?

Thank you,
waqe

PS. I searched for "sell at close" and made other attempts to find this information before posting.

yes and no.
'near' is too vague.

the smallest usable time increment in thinkscript is 1 minute. so possibly 1 minute before the day close, a code could do something.

there are functions that have values with units of seconds and milliseconds, but they are updated at chart times, so at a minimum of 1 minute.
