I am not VIP member yet, however, thinking about subscribing to your discord and obtaining the "buy the dip" indicator. I just wanted to check something before I subscribe to VIP, would you be able to post an example of 1min chart for TSLA, Apple, ZM or whatever else stock you see fit (not penny stocks plz since I am not that educated to trade small caps yet). I wanted to see if Buy the Dip works for day trading as well as swing.

Edit: This thread has gotten very long. Added some info below for easier access to information.

Hello,

I was interested in getting the vip package but was wondering if they would be helpful with options. I currently buy and sell options either with day trades or swing trades between a few days to a month. I usually just used the 5 min or 15 in chart.

I'm looking into the
-buy the dip indicator
-take profit indicator.

@Blasian757 Welcome :) Glad to hear that you're interested in joining VIP. Please go over this thread first.

Options and/or shares should work in this case. I do both, personally. I sell options for premium and also buy shares to swing trade.

Hello friends, I am looking for someone who speaks Spanish and uses this "BTD" technique to see if it is possible to give me a hand since I am a little lost, Thanks a lot
Hello Hexis777. I think AdrianG is helping you yet I speak Spanish as well. Yo tambien hablo espanol y estoy usando la BTD en mi propio manera.

All the best.

@Learnbot I'm still trying to figure this BTD indicator out. Every stock I've tried with it continues dipping and dipping and dipping. Is this a scale in type strategy? I mean the stock it gave a hit on today is down 10.8% since the indicator hit. I have it set for daily, but it gives hits on 2 hour, 1 hour, etc which aren't included in the actual scan.

@BoarTrades I'd like to see a video on how this is traded, every stock I've tried using this has sank right after buying it. Is it an average down type indicator where you are scaling in? How are you using this to determine stops and targets. I just tried it on another stock today and already down 10.8% in about an hour.

well it wont work specially today, because today the market was red. I dont use this indicator, but it would be helpful to use it with another indicator like above the green line, or a trend indicator, it is hard to give you a strategy but a basically whis indicator could point out where there is a dip on an up-trending stock, maybe you can use it with some sort of deviation indicator. also if every stock you buy keeps dipping maybe you can use it as a trending indicator lol, i know that sounds silly but its just an idea.

@deansafeleen Your observation is correct. Sometimes, stock can bottom when hovering near 0 and never crosses below it. Some of our members (for example, @chewie76) have shared that they slightly change the 0 value line to something like 0.016.
Hi benten. I'm new here and have been reading up on "buy the dip" for some time now. Being that you're a swing trader, have you slightly changed your 0 value line just like some have?

@D12E4M3R I don't just because I'm already comfortable with using it. That being said, I also don't wait for the BTD to crosses below 0. If I see that the BTD line is exceptionally close to the 0 line and the stock is at support, then I'm okay with starting a position.

Thanks for answering my question. I been contemplating about joining vip for the BTD indicator, since I read a lot of positive reviews.

@FreefallJM03 I joined recently and having a hard time putting a successful strategy together for this as well.
I struggled lately on wrong timeframes but have found some recent success with the 6000 tick trading the MNQ. I find the BTD is spot on for longs and shorts and exits. I've customized the percentile with a couple lines - added some clouds for eye candy and now look for drops above and below those lines. It's my only lower indicator. Oh and added the UTS floating level on it as I like my upper chart free from a bunch of MA's.

I had to spend hours on charts playing around with different things and also trading live to see what works and fits my lifestyle - A bit hard for me as I have a full time IT Security job to maintain so a nice clean setup/chart is what I need.

After I posted my message, I started getting a better understanding. BTD doesn't seem to do well on low timeframes. I can see better signals at 6000t than 2000t where I trade mostly.

You seem to be using the BTD percentile like I am. Which version do you use? There are 2 versions and they don't seem to agree sometimes.

Would you mind sharing your set-up? Looks great!

I think I found a use for it. It will take some tweaking, but I think I found a way to use it for better entries in conjunction with my own trading indicators. I'm just wondering how other people have used it with or without success. I've been checking it out for several months and on low float stocks it seems more of a downtrend indicator, sort of a, "buy the dip, buy the dip, buy the dip" as the indicator keeps popping up as the stock goes down and has a small hiccup to the upside (like really small), then another buy the dip shows up on the chart. So, I'm looking at using it with support levels an manual calculate for the real bounce upward. I trade a lot of low float stocks and do pretty well with them using other methodologies. I just wanted to see if this would work to help find ones I may miss.

yeah i don't use it because it doesn't really fit my trading strategy but the notes do seem to point towards Larry Williams trading strategies. however using it with some sort of levels and multi-time-frame analysis might be helpful. and that's interesting I haven't tried trading penny stocks in a while, not because I don't see the value, but because I don't know much about penny stocks, I know they are a world of their own, following and deciphering how to evaluate the technicals and fundamentals would take a lot of effort from my part, and it never made sense to me. I like to trade popular stocks that are being boring if that makes any sense, they seem to follow more "natural" movements.
